Electric. Can be used with or without oil.  Oil goes in the glass top and lets off a wonderful aroma that fills an entire room. These are especially popular in bathroons, however we enjoy them in the kitchen and bedroom as well.  Halogen Bulb included.  Replacement bulbs are offered for sale.
